Africa is home to more women entrepreneurs than any other region in the world, a Global Entrepreneurship Monitoring report has revealed.
According to the report, the continent accounted for 18 per cent of the global women entrepreneurs in 2016/17.
The report said Latin America and the Caribbean had the second highest number at 17 per cent of all the women entrepreneurs in the world aged between 18-64.
North America, East and South Asia and Pacific and the Middle East accounted for 12, 11 and 8 per cent respectively.
