    Businessman Donates Cash, TVs, Fridges to Widows and Orphans to Mark His 60th Birthday

    Business magnate Dr Osei Kwame Despite has made a considerable donation to residents of his hometown, Wiamoase in the Ashanti Region, on his 60th birthday.

    The Ghanaian media colossus, famed for his philanthropic gestures, marked his 60th birthday on Wednesday, February 2.

    In celebration of the milestone, Despite visited his hometown, where he gifted KSh 1.7 million to the community.

    Aside from the considerable amount, the CEO and founder of Despite Group also presented items, including television sets, standing fans, clothes, bags of rice, cooking oil, burners, blenders, among others.

    The items will be shared among widows and orphans in his home area.

    Heartwarming photos of the benevolent deed have been uploaded on social media.

    The Ghanaian millionaire previously gave away two duplexes built in his hometown to his sisters, Maame B and Mary.

    Despite has previously given donations at police stations hospital wards, among others.

    Kind teacher celebrated

    In other news, TUKO.co.ke reported that a kind-hearted Ghanaian teacher, Madina Adutwumwaa Asare, raised over KSh 54k in cash to provide educational resources to needy pupils.

    Popularly known as Teacher Ewuraama, she committed herself to ensuring needy children find joy in attending school.

    She delighted the pupils with soft drinks, packets of biscuits, clothes, and others.

    In a Facebook post, Teacher Ewuraama expressed gratitude to people who donated to the good cause.

    ”Knowing that we are in a time of financial instability, your donations were extra special to me. From myself and the kids, we say thank you all for your generous support. With each donation I received, I became all that much closer to my goal of making these little ones happy again. ‘

    Your donations went above and beyond what I could have ever hoped to imagine. Sincerely, thank you all for your incredible help in making my first project for the year a success. God bless you,” she wrote.
