Five airlines to face KCAA penalties for flouting regulations

Skyward Express is among five airlines whose licences were suspended by the regulator a fortnight ago and are set to remain grounded until they address regulatory breaches.

The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) also revoked flying permits of Buff Air, Capital Airlines Limited, Bush Air and Rudufu for violating airworthiness registration.

The five airlines, which operate from Wilson Airport mainly to Somalia, had their licence revoked for using their aircraft in transportation of cargo when they are not licensed for that purpose.
