Kirinyaga governor aspirant Wangui Ngirichi has appointed former KRA boss Eliud Wanjao as her running mate ahead of August.
The two will be vying as independent candidates after Ngirici exited Deputy President William Ruto’s UDA party.
Ngirici took to her social media account to update the developments.
She posted their photos and said: “The dynamic duos, earthquake 1, episode two loading,” she posted.
Eliud Wanjao isn’t new to Kenyan politics. In 2017; he contested for Kirinyaga gubernatorial seat and lost to Ann Waiguru.
Mr Wanjao in 2017 managed to garner 3,036 votes against Waiguru who had 58,984 votes followed by Mr Gitari who had garnered 38,734 while incumbent Governor Joseph Ndathi only managed 11,556.
Kirinyaga gubernatorial race has attracted heavyweights among them, Anne Waiguru and former governor Joseph Ndathi.
