Media Personality Bonnie Musambi has disclosed that he will soon be calling quits from Kenya Broadcasting Corporation(KBC) after serving in the media house for 14 years.
Speaking to journalists, the celebrated journalist noted that he would be quitting the government-owned TV station to fully launch his own Kamba Radio station known as Sang’u FM.
“I am planning to leave in 3 or 4 months to come so that I can establish my own Kamba station, which will be based in Nairobi,” Musambi said.
The news anchor revealed that his wife, Betty Musambi, is in charge of Sang’u FM, which is currently available on online platforms only.
Musambi also noted that he would join his wife and fully run their own radio as an established entity upon resigning.
According to Musambi, the radio station will be transmitted in frequency and will also be operational on online platforms.
The celebrated media personality reads prime-time news at KBC Channel 1 and also hosts a morning radio show dubbed Zinga la Asubuhi alongside his co-host Cynthia Anyango.
The revered journalist is also reportedly planning to contest for the Kitui Central Parliamentary seat in the coming 2022 general elections.
Musambi has always showered his beautiful wife with gifts, love, and praises publicly.
Last month, he took to social media and acknowledged that his job made him spend long hours away from his family and appreciated his wife for ensuring that the kids were well taken care of.
In October last year, the father of two bought his wife a Sh18 million mansion in Kilimani, Nairobi, before surprising her with a Sh 2.5 million X-Trail on her birthday as a birthday gift.
The fourth estate member told his fans that he had not yet done the best for his wife of seven years compared to what she had done for him.
The two lovebirds have been blessed with two children.
