Celebrated comedian and emcee Felix Oduor, popularly known as Jalang’o has invited talented youths to audition as TV hosts after he hinted at turning his YouTube channel dubbed Bonga na Jalas into a TV Channel called Jalang’o TV.
In a video seen by Kenyannews.co.ke, the former Papa Shirandula actor pointed out that with the YouTube channel growing so fast, he was considering making it bigger.
He explained that he was thinking that the interviews he does on the channel could become a segment.
“So I’m just here thinking with how the Bonga na Jalas YouTube channel is growing so fast. What if we made it bigger and better? Now this is what I mean, Bonga na Jalas with the interviews I do, just becomes a segment in the YouTube channel,” he explained.
Jalang’o who quit Milele FM last week, added that the YouTube TV channel would have people who do sports news, reviews, hard news, DJ sending in their music and comedian of the day just like any other TV station.
“Then from you guys who watch and you think you have talent, I can have somebody do news, I can have somebody do sports, I can have comedian of the day, I can have reviews so that we can create opportunities for so many other people on Bonga na Jalas but then we don’t call it Bonga na Jalas, we call it Jalang’o TV,” he added.
He pointed out that this would be an opportunity for the youth who have the talent to showcase themselves.
He disclosed that since the numbers of subscribers are always shooting up, advertisers had already started coming on board and the TV station would be able to pay salaries to the youths who will be working for Jalang’o TV.
“If you think you have the talent and have always wanted to host something, you can talk to me. Just comment down here and tell me what you are good at and I will send a number where you will be able to send a one minute clip of you doing your thing. Then we will put it out here and we will get our Jalan’go TV hosts,” he concluded.
