Diana Marua “Blue-ticks” Turkana Artist Who Proposed He’d Pay For Collabo With Her

Date:

  • Artiste Jeshi CID’s efforts to have a collabo with new music entrant Diana Marua have come to a screeching halt
  • This is after the Hatutaachana crooner gave the Turkana-based musician’s messages a brutal cold shoulder
  • Jeshi had proposed a collabo project with Diana, promising to foot all bills from her air fare, five-star accommodation and recording

Diana Marua, Kenya’s latest entrant into the music industry has “blue-ticked” follow artiste Jeshi CID who is looking to have a fully-paid-for collabo song.

Jeshi told TUKO.co.ke last week that, as much as Diana’s entry into the music industry had not been received well with the fans, he saw potential and looked forward to a song with her.

He only has one condition; that the music project has to be done in Turkana where he is based, but he will foot all the costs.

Never mind that Diana’s management through her husband Bahati put a price tag of KSh 850,000 as the artiste’s performance fees.

“I will sponsor everything from the flights, video and audio, as well as 5-star accommodation for the music newbie,” he said.

With the will set in motion, he set out to create the way for the collabo between “Dem wa Kanairo” and “Boy wa Turkana” by reaching out to the Hatutaachana crooner.

Blue-ticked

Jeshi’s wish for the two to work together has, however, hit a snag as his messages to the singer have been given a wide berth.

In screenshots seen by TUKO.co.ke, the singer, said to be among Turkana’s best, has sent numerous messages to Diana but it has largely remained a monologue.

“I have even sold some of my cows to foot the bills for that collabo, but she is not responding yet I am ready to pay her,” he disclosed to Hillary Lisimba.

Jeshi reiterated that if Diana refuses to do the collaboration song with him, he will pass the chance to Madam Boss Akothee.

From cattle rustler to musician

Jeshi CID, whose real name is Macdonald Lobalia Blasio, became a cattle rustler at the age of 12 and raided neighbouring communities for over 10 years.

His turning point came in 2015 when his gang was ambushed after a raid and two of his friends were killed.

It was at this point that he shifted from cattle rustling to music through which he dissuades follow youths against the vice.
