B-Club’s in house DJ Felix Orinda, popularly known as DJ Evolve has spoken for the first time since he was discharged from Nairobi Hospital after being shot twice in the neck by EMbakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino.
While speaking in an interview with NTV, DJ Evolve who spent almost six months at Nairobi Hospital said he was doing well compared to when he was admitted. He revealed that at first he was traumatized but he came to terms with his situation.
He added that nowadays he can sleep, unlike the first days where he kept having flashbacks of what happened on the day he was shot.
“I’m generally doing better as opposed to when it first happened. I was really traumatized in the beginning but I have learned to live with it. At least nowadays I can be able to sleep, but before I couldn’t at all. I kept having flashbacks of that fateful day. I needed medication to put me to sleep,” he said.
While struggling to speak, DJ Evolve who has been paralyzed from his mid-torso downwards disclosed that he can be slightly able to move his hands but not his arms.
He stated that the situation has forced him to be fully dependent on other people to do things for him.
“I’m slightly able to move my limbs (hands), that’s the much I can do but I can’t be able to move my arms. They were my tools of trade so when I don’t have them there is no way I can be able to work. But generally, looking at it, it’s better because I can move them but before I couldn’t do that. I’m currently just here. There is nothing I can do for myself, so I’ fully dependent on people to do things for me,” he added.
Asked where he had forgiven Babu Owino, he said that he had nothing left to say as he had left everything to God and the justice system. Since the interview went on air Kenyans have again demanded Justice for DJ Evolve.
