B-club’s in-house DJ Felix Orinda popularly known as DJ Evolve has spoken for the first time since he got shot twice in the neck by controversial Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino.
In an interview with the Standard, DJ Evolve disclosed that he had come to terms with what happened, adding that it was an unfortunate situation.
He went on to request Kenyans to pray for him as he recovers fully so that he can be able to entertain them again. He mentioned that he had missed home and it has been a long battle that has affected his family, friends, and business.
“I have come to terms with my situation. Whatever happened was unfortunate. I request Kenyans to pray that I recover fully so that I can continue entertaining. (Yaliyopita si ndwele). I have really missed home. This has been a really long battle that has affected my family, friends, and business but u cannot wait to be back,” he said in the interview.
The talented DJ said that he has so many songs to listen to that have been released since he was hospitalized and he needs to familiarize himself with them so that he does not get out of touch with music.
He added that he is glad and hopeful and can see the end of his suffering. He further added that sometimes he can feel his legs which makes him know that God is working on him.
“I have so many songs to listen to since several hits have been produced during my stay in the hospital. I have to listen to all of them in order to familiarize myself with the music. I am glad and I feel hopeful. I can now see the light at the end of this. Sometimes I feel my legs. That makes me know that God is working on me,” he added.
DJ Evolve was discharged on Thursday 18 after spending almost six months at the Nairobi Hospital. Kenyans have since then been calling for justice to be served for the DJ after Babu Owino was released on bail having been charged with attempted murder.
