The Deputy President William Ruto’s wife, Rachel Ruto, earlier today joined cyclists for a ride within Nairobi city.
Mrs. Ruto took part in the weekend affair, which was organized by “Spin Kings Kenya,” which attracted more than 100 cyclists.
Speaking to the press, Spin Kings Kenya manager Jojo Asin noted that the Saturday ride was designed for beginners.

They later branched into Kiambu road, after which they headed to Thika Road to Garden City and back In Murang’a Road, Globe roundabout, University Way, and later finished at the starting point(CBD).
Asin said that the Deputy President’s wife cycled back home after completing the route, stating that the route was selected to give the best experience as well as challenge the riders.
The manager also noted that they had taken measures to guarantee the safety of the riders on the road.
Asin explained that they had organized chase cars and marshalls who comprised of semi-elite cyclists to sandwich the freshers guiding and protecting them through traffic.
He also lauded the traffic police in the city for guiding traffic to give the riders way but also noted that they had challenges with careless and ruthless matatu drivers.
