Former Nairobi Diaries TV Reality Show actress Stacy Vugusta popularly known as Pendo, on Friday, appeared in a Mombasa court over an unpaid hotel bill amounting to Sh208,000.
The socialite owes the money to the English Point Marina Hotel, the complainer in the case.
The Shanzu court heard that Pendo had accumulated a total bill of Sh330 000 and was only able to pay Sh145, 000.
The actress is alleged to have committed to clear the balance within two days on September 14.
However, she had not paid by within the agreed timelines, prompting the hotel management to block her from leaving the hotel.
The court further heard that the actress had still not raised the money two weeks later, and the bill continued to accumulate, forcing the management to report her to the police.
In October, Pendo was arrested and taken to Parklands Police station.
She is said to have checked into the luxurious hotel with an unknown man who later vanished, leaving the beautiful actress stranded.
The two are reported to have spent eight days in the hotel before her partner left the hotel unnoticed.
Appearing before Shanzu Resident Magistrate David Odhiambo, Pendo denied the charges and was freed on the Sh100,000 bond or alternative Sh30,000 cash bail.
The magistrate ordered the socialite to settle the bill before March 15, 2021, when the case will be heard next.
The socialite is not new to controversies.
Last year, the Star’s ex-Caucasian lover denied having engaged her, terming the proposal which was aired via the Reality show, as a ploy.
According to the ex-lover, the engagement was staged and intended to boost coverage of the show.
Pendo made appearances in the dramatic reality show, which premiered in December 2015 and has since attracted fairly colossal viewership.
Her character in the show was very litigious as she was engaged in fights and often at times picked up wars with everyone in the show.
