Churchill Comedienne Zeddy recently opened up on her traumatizing experience after she had a stillbirth.
Zeddy was speaking during an interview with Grace Msalame where she revealed how she lost her second born baby. According to her, her pregnancy was healthy up until the time she went to deliver her baby. She went to the nearest private hospital, but they referred her to Kiambu.
Zeddy did not like the conditions there as the hospital was full. She called her husband, who then took her to Pumwani Maternity hospital.
“I was expectant with my secondborn, and everything was going on well till I felt it was time to go for my delivery. I decided to go to the nearest private hospital. However, they referred me to Kiambu.”
“When I reached Kiambu hospital, I was given a leso to lie down as the beds were full. So, I asked my husband to come to pick me up, and we went to Pumwani.”
I had a stillbirth.
Zeddy further narrated that after she went into the delivery room, she gave birth to her baby. However, the child was not breathing.
Shocked, Zeddy asked the doctors what was going on. She, however, revealed that the medics were rude to her and even asked if she will go with her dead child home.
“Upon reaching, I was taken directly to the delivery room. When the baby was born, hakulia, and I saw them looking at each other. The doctor then took the baby and out I’m in a box, and then using his foot pushed it towards the nurse. He then asked me, “mtabeba mwende nayo nyumbani?”
“I asked my nurse what had happened, and she responded “unatuuliza na wewe ndo ume beba huyo mtoto miezi tisa. Wewe ndo unaeza tuambia Nini ilimfanyikia.” She was so rude, and they never explained what happened.”
Zeddy revealed that she was hurt after the doctors placed her in the same ward as those with kids. According to her, they discriminated against her and insinuated she would steal their kids.
Later on, Zeddy revealed that she fell into depression and almost lost her life after her traumatic experience. She is now a proud mother of three.
