Celebrated Tanzanian songstress Vanessa Mdee has explained why she took a break from the music industry.
In a short video clip, the Cash Madame songstress pointed out that she had been in the music industry for 13 years without taking a break.
She went on to state that she finally found time for herself to do what she wants and she also found love which makes her happy as she is enjoying herself.
“Honestly I have been in the music industry for 13 years and I have never taken a break. So I finally found some time for me, to do what Vee, likes to do what Vee wants to do, to chill, I found love, beautiful love and I’m so happy. I just wanna enjoy myself. So I just wanna take time to enjoy life,” she said in part of the video.
She went on to state that she now had time to work on her podcast as she thanked her fans for supporting her, assuring them that her season two podcast will be even greater. She also assured her fans that she would answer all of their questions.
She went on to advise them to also find time for themselves, realign themselves, pray, reconnect with God and take care of their families and loved ones.
As she explained her absence, her boyfriend, Rotimi who acts in the American hit movie dubbed Power appeared shortly in the video stressing out that they were never going to break up.
The award-winning actress got into a relationship with the Nigerian-American actor, singer, and model after she broke up with her former boyfriend; Tanzanian RnB singer Juma Jux after dating for almost six years.
Jux previously admitted that he was partly the reason why they broke up after reportedly putting unnecessary pressure on her.
