Senator Isaac Mwaura’s wife, Nelius Mukami, is celebrating good health after a challenging period.

Nelius Mukami thanks God after her son recovered from illness.

Many fans were unaware that the mental health champion was going through a hard time, but she chose the best time to thank God for his blessings.

Going on her Instagram Stories, the delighted mum shared photos of her little boy, disclosing that he was doing great.

Thanking God for healing

Mukami noted that the young one had recovered well and thanked God for being there for him.

In another post, with the same snap, she confirmed that he had been discharged from the hospital.

From the photo, one could tell that the little one was doing great and in a great mood, something the mum would have been delighted to see.

It is not clear what he was suffering from and how long he was admitted to hospital.

Battle with depression

A couple of weeks back, Mukami shared with fans her battle with depression.

Via a lengthy social media post on Thursday, September 30, Mukami admitted that it took a lot of courage and strength for her to come out.

Terming depression as the most expensive thing she owns, Mukami disclosed that she also has anxiety.

Mukami said that depression had taken a lot from her, adding that:

“It takes so much effort just to avoid it and it still finds me even in my happiest of days and in my solitude.”

Mukami, who wedded Mwaura in 2015, divulged that she finds it difficult to leave her bed on some days.

“Finding the strength to wake up in the morning and be functional is difficult and it takes everything in me just to drag myself out of bed,” she stated.

The beauty further said that she could hardly recognise herself as the condition robs her of experiences, memories and people.

Mukami admitted that depression had hindered her from pursuing her dreams, making her believe she was not good enough.
