Only a few days after Felix Odiwour, aka Jalang’o walked out of his radio job at Milele FM, the comedian has landed a new radio job.
On 26th June, Jalang’o announced that he would make a comeback with Radio Africa. Radio Africa owns Kiss FM, Classic 105, and Radio Jambo.
“I might end up on Waiyaki Way. I had an amazing meeting with Patrick Quarcoo (Radio Africa CEO), who is my friend, boss, the first person who ever gave me a contract,” Jalang’o said.
“Put aside NRG Radio. I think I may end up with where it all began. Which radio, Kiss, Classic or Jambo? I don’t know,” he added.
Jalang’o continues to keep his fans guessing. Most are eager to know when he will be back on the airwaves.
Jalang’o went ahead to say that he started his career as a radio presenter in the Radio Africa Group. He also said that media personality Caroline Mutoko had played a significant role in helping him nature his radio presentation skills.
When Jalang’o started his career in radio, he co-hosted a morning breakfast show at KISS FM with Caroline Mutoko. After that, he got a job at Radio Maisha. Later on, he co-hosted a show at Milele FM with Alex Mwakideu.
Quitting Milele FM
Jalang’o revealed that he called Alex Mwakideu before quitting his job at Milele FM.
“Before I quit Milele FM, I tried calling Mwakideu on the previous night but I couldn’t find him. At 6 a.m. on the following day, he called back and asked why I had not reported to work and I told him that I won’t be hosting alongside him again,” he explained.
“I had differed with the management on my contract offer after Covid-19 affected media business. Mwakideu asked me to sign it but I couldn’t. I will miss him but he will make it. He is one of the best radio presenters ever,” he added.
