Felix Odiwour, aka Jalang’o, has revealed that they put strict measures in place to ensure Omosh does not waste money that well-wishers contributed.
Omosh’s story came to the limelight last week after an interview featuring him went viral on social media. The former Tahidi High actor narrated his struggles with unemployment and alcohol abuse.
Touched by his plight, Kenyans started making contributions to help him get back on his feet. Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho is one of the leaders that came to his rescue.
Jalang’o interviewed the Governor with the aim of raising funds for the former actor. During the interview, Joho transferred Ksh 100,000 to Omosh. The radio presenter promised to raise 1 million shillings for the actor.
“This is life, we will pray for you and you will be okay,” Joho said.
Jalang’o also assured Kenyans that they put strict measures in place to ensure that Omosh does not waste money on alcohol. He noted that Omosh’s wife and Abel Mutua would be signatories in his bank account.
Several people and brands have offered to help the actor. Zero Hero properties gave him a piece of land and a company that deals in timber offered to help him build his house. The Managing Director of Citizen TV also sent him Kshs 50,000 and promised to help whenever he reached out.
