Unknown to many, Kiss 100 breakfast show host Kamene Goro pursued a degree in Law at the University of Nairobi from 2010-2014 and not journalism like we earlier assumed.
Speaking during a recent episode of Kiss 100 breakfast show, the voluptuous presenter opened up about studyìng in one of the most expensive schools in Kenya, Rusinga International, where she passed and proceeded to pursue law.
One fan was, however, bitter about Kamene studying law under a self-sponsored program.
The bitter lady took to Facebook to say that Kamene Goro never qualified to study the enviable course and that she bought her way into it as she stems from a wealthy family.
“After listening to Kamene Goro’s story of how she was born in South C, went to Rusinga school, and then later joined University of Nairobi school of law as a self-sponsored parallel not government-sponsored, meaning she was not even qualified for that course. She bought her way to study a course,” wrote Tabasamu Vivian.
The lady angered Kamene for trying to discredit her hard work and success.
She took to her Instagram account to advise the said woman that she was self-sponsored because she did not study under the Kenyan system of education and not because she failed her exams.
Kamene added that she did not understand why a woman would struggle to bring down one of her own.
“Well, I didn’t qualify to be a government sponsored student because I didn’t study the Kenyan system. I hope that clears ít up for you Vivian. Bought my way, with what money? Sad to see another woman bringing down one of her own,” wrote Kamene.
With her law degree, Kamene worked as a paralegal at Simani and Co advocate from Feb 2013 to July 2013 before quitting to follow her passion in media.
Kamene’s career in journalism began when she was 21 years of age.
She landed her first scriptwriting job at Ebru TV, where she worked hard and proceeded to be promoted to a prime-time news anchor.
