Speaking during an interview with Radio Maisha, the Grandpa boss revealed that he has already appointed a new CEO and team that will help push the label’s dream to greater heights.

According to Refigah, new talents and brains should be given a chance to utilise their knowledge in improving the industry.

Refigah, however, insisted he still has a majority stake in the label and will be working with it on a consultancy basis.

”I am stepping aside from music management for some time because I believe there is a younger person who is more talented and can take this music industry to the next level. I still own Grandpa Records, I have a new team, a new CEO and we will introduce them to Kenyans soon.” Refigah disclosed.

The former music CEO disclosed he is into different businesses but farming is his stronghold.

”Right now I can not say I am going into politics, those are just rumours but you never know. If God guides me in that direction then I will do it. In the meantime, I am a farmer, I do farming.” He added.

In May 2020, Refigah sold his wife’s Mercedes Benz worth KSh 2.6 million to feed Kibra residents during the lockdown.

As earlier reported by TUKO.co.ke, the Grandpa Records boss decided to sell his wife’s pricey Mercedes Benz 250 and use the money to feed and help over 4,000 families in Kibra slums, Nairobi.

In an exclusive interview with TUKO.co.ke on Wednesday, May 6, the music mogul revealed he had imported the car from abroad as a gift for his lovely wife but decided to ”dispose” it and help those in need.

Refigah who was raised in Kibra himself disclosed that his wife had no idea of his move but hoped she would understand as she is of a big heart as well.
