Former Inooro TV presenter Muthoni wa Mukiri has given her fans a lesson or two about marriages and weddings.
Mukiri the wedding expert
Mukiri was recently forced to clear the air over a matter that had been troubling some of her fans and followers.
The former TV presenter who recently officiated her union with her bae confirmed to her fans that one can still wed even though his or her parents did not.
According to Mukiri, her own parents did not do a wedding but her father did the most important thing; paying her mother’s dowry.
Mukiri insisted that her father paid the dowry and did a traditional wedding dubbed ruracio.
“My question to you Muthoni Mukiri. Can someone do a wedding if their parents never did it?” the fan posed.
“According to my understanding, yes you can so long as your dad paid your mum’s dowry in full. My parents did not do a wedding but my dad did full ruracio. If not, then dowry has to be taken to your mum’s home first before you do your ruracio. Anyone with a different answer.” Mukiri said.
Her sentiments were echoed by some of her fans who camped on the comments section of her comment.
Mukiri’s words of wisdom came barely a month after she officially walked down the aisle with the love of her life Isaac Njoroge.
The lovebirds walked down the aisle in a colourful low-key wedding ceremony attended by close friends and family members.
Muthoni met the handsome man not so long ago, and she recently revealed that she was single for two years before they met.
The beautiful media personality shared a photo from their wedding, and she looked gorgeous in her white gown.
Njoroge wore a white shirt, black bowtie and navy blue suit.
Muthoni married her long-time lover in a colourful traditional ceremony, popularly known as ruracio, a few months ago.
The YouTuber’s bridal teams consisted of actress and former radio host Shix Kapienga and ex-Churchill Show comedian Teacher Wanjiku.
