Kenyan socialite and businesswoman Huddah Monroe trolled compatriot marathon legend Eliud Kipchoge’s Ksh. 500,000 suit after he featured in GQ magazine last week.
The former Big Brother House show participant took to her Insta story to laugh off the price of Kipchoge’s suit claiming that one pair of her earrings was equal to the “so called expensive” suit.
“Lol! $5,000 suit is news? My Van Cleef earrings are $5,000 a pair LMFAO!,” said the Huddah Cosmetics C.E.O.
The marathon world record holder excited Kenyans last week after photos of him rocking the magazine’s outfit surfaced online. Kenyans on social media came out to call out the socialite for diminishing the 34-year old’s achievements. Some called her petty for giving out information that no one has requested her to give while others told her to be wearing the earrings with the price tag.

Kipchoge who is described as the “greatest marathoner of the modern era” has won 12 of the 13 marathons he has participated in. He won his first medal in 2003 after bagging the gold medal at the IAAF World Cross Country Championship and setting a record world junior record over 5,000 meters on the track.
Before switching to road running in 2012, the five-time World championship 5,000 meters finalist bagged Olympic bronze for Kenya in 2004, and another bronze at the 2006 IAAF World Indoor Championships. He also took silver medals at the 2007 World Championships, 2008 Summer Olympics and 2010 Commonwealth Games.
Last year, Kipchoge made world history when he became the first human being to run 42 kilometers marathon in under two hours as he crossed the line in a remarkable time of 1:59:40:2. He set the record in Vienna, Austria under the mantra No Human Is Limited.
