Netizens call out Femi one to pay Azziad for making Utawezana a hitsong

That Utawezana by Femi One and Mejja became a hitsong is undisputable. It is also known that Azziad Naisenya played a part in pushing the song to greater Heights. But that the two musicians should pay the TikTok queen is what is confusing many netizens making this debate trend as number one on Twitter.

In support of Azziad

Netizens took to social media calling on Shiku Femi One to pay Azziad for making her song go viral. Some believe that the song could not have become such a hit if it was not for Azziad. According to some, they were not aware of the song until Naisenya did the challenge. For some tweeps, whenever they hear the song, their minds first think of Azziad before they think of Mejja and Femi one. For this reason, they feel she deserves a token of appreciation.

In support of Femi one and Mejja

However, another section of tweeps felt the TikTok queen benefited from Utawezana more then Mejja and Femi did. According to them, the two musicians would remain relevant with or without the help of Azziad. However, on the other hand, chances are Naisenya would always be on TikTok. Additionally, she gained a few gigs and even secured a position in the communication and entertainment industry.

Celebrities like Diana Marua joined in the conversation. According to her, the Utawezana song marketed Azziad and not the other way around. She further claimed that without the song, nearly two-thirds of Naisenya’s followers would not know her.

Neutral party

Some tweeps, however, decided not to take sides. According to them, both parties benefited from the Utawezana hitsong. Mejja and Femi one got their views, and their song trended for a long time. On the other hand, Azziad also gained fame and exposure. Her name became a household name, and she benefited from it.

Here are some reactions from netizens.
