The hilarious show has brought life to many Kenyan homes after airing for 22 seasons and hundreds of episodes throughout the years.

The producers of the show, Moonbeam Kenya, announced the heartbreaking news through their Instagram handle earlier today. They also made sure to thank all their fans for the support throughout the years.

“It’s a wrap on Auntie Boss. They were eight wonderful years, 22 seasons and hundreds episodes. We are grateful to all of you for tuning in to watch Auntie Boss every week on NTV. Thank you for supporting this show right through till the end. We love and appreciate all of you.”

The outstanding show began in 16th September 2014 and ran for years before taking a break in April this year owing to the COVID19 pandemic.

They later resumed for the last season which last episode will air on tonight’s show

“Auntie boss took a bow after 21 great seasons on NTV. We had to take a break during this difficult time as Kenya faces the COVID19 pandemic.” read their statement in April.

@HarrietJared The show was lit. We are going to miss you guys. Thank you for entertaining us! We will never take it for granted.

@BresAnyango I’m glad I worked with  you. Auntie Boss is the first show I auditioned for and got a call back from therefore giving me my first appearance on National TV. I’m forever indebted.

@Collins Ouma My favourite show, sad but thank you for the entertainment.

@Phildirector Yo 8 years, that’s impressive. Congratulations and thankyou for creating such an amazing piece of art.
