After months of mourning her late Nigerian husband Pastor John Apewajoye, gospel musician Ruth Matete says she finally understands why God took her through her pain.
Speaking on her Instagram account, the gospel minister said that after praying to God for divine guidance, she came to realise that she should channel her pain towards glorifying God’s name.
Ruth Matete added that she has made up her mind not to waste her pain, but instead use the opportunity to help those who have been lost in deep pain just like her.
To do this, Ruth Matete has started her own Youtube channel, where she has chosen to encourage and give hope to people through sharing her life experiences and the word of God.
She has also promised to use the platform to bless Kenyans with her rich gospel music.
Ruth Matete said that she still cries when she remembers her late hubby, but her situation has become less painful with time.
“It’s a few months since my late husband went to be with his maker, and I can candidly tell you, that I now understand why God allowed me to go through it. Do I still cry? Yes. But it gets better with time. I have made up my mind not to waste my pain. God must and will be glorified through my pain.” wrote gospel musician Ruth Matete.
Ruth Matete’s social media comeback
Pastor Ruth Matete just recently made a comeback to social media after deleting her accounts months ago.
She deleted her accounts following a backlash from her Nigerian social media followers who were insinuating that she had a hand in the death of her late husband.
Losing her husband
Ruth Matete’s husband, the late John Apewajoye passed on in April this year after he was severely burned from a small gas explosion in their house in Athi River, Nairobi.
He was later buried at Lang’ata cemetery with a few family and friends in attendance.
