A few days after Homeboyz Radio fired its employees Shaffie Weru, DJ Neville, and DJ Joe Mfalme over controversial remarks, the station has unveiled Shaffie Weru’s replacement. Homeboyz Radio complied with the Communication Authority of Kenya’s orders by suspending the Lift-Off Breakfast Show.
On 29th March, the station announced that Jamaican presenter Conrad Gray aka G-Money, would take over the breakfast show. He will host a show dubbed G Money in The Morning.
G-Money is not new to Homeboyz radio. He was previously hosting a breakfast show at the station, but they scrapped it off during internal programming changes.
Several G-Money fans have expressed their excitement over his return to Homeboyz Radio. Several promised to tune in to his show.
“I hadn’t been listening to HBR, but now that G Money is back, I have to tune in,” one Twitter user commented.
For most of Monday morning, the hashtag GMITM, an acronym for G-Money’s new show, was trending.
G-Money spent most of his former years in Jamaica and the United Kingdom. He has worked in the entertainment industry for over 20 years. Other than being a radio presenter, he has participated in several concerts.
His work at Homeboyz radio helped the station build its audience.
