You have probably heard of the famous Joho House that got people talking. For several hours, there were speculations that Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho is the owner.
Some social media users alleged that the house will serve as the headquarters of Joho’s presidential team. Others claimed that the location of the house is in Lavington, Nairobi.
Confirmed reports indicate that the luxurious house is in fact located in Switzerland. The owner of the house also lives in Swizerland and there is no link whatsoever to the Mombasa governor.
The real owner of the house is Joho Baukeramik, a building materials supplier in Bremgarten, Switzerland. For this reaso, the Joho House is the headquaters of Joho Baukeramik.
Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho recently confirmed that he was eyeing the Presidential seat and that he might run for elections come 2022. However, the allegations that Joho House would serve as the headquarters of his presidential team are not true.
Several social media users seemed convinced that the magnificent Joho House actually belongs to the governor. Joho seems to have the financial capability to acquire such a building.
Additionally, most of his current properties have all-white exteriors which is definitely his go-to color. The fact that the Joho house had an all-white exterior made people more convinced that it belonged to him.
Once in an interview, the Mombasa governor revealed how he made his first million when he was only 20 years old.
“My first transaction that changed my life was when I was just 20 years old. I remember I got a clearing and forwarding job and I got a Ksh6.6 million cheque. That is the first money that I saw and I was like ‘this is it’,” Joho said.
President Uhuru Kenyatta is yet to reveal who he will endorse come 2022. He will have to choose between Ali Hassan Joho, Raila Odinga, and Interior CS Fred Matiang’i.
