Wambui Kamiru, wife to the late Safaricom C.E.O Bob Collymore has penned down a moving birthday message celebrating her late husband.
Bob Collymore passed away in July last year after battling with Acute Myloid Leukemia (AML) for a long time which saw him take nine months off from October 2017 to return to his home in Britain seeking treatment.
His wife took to social media to reminisce the good old times captioning that she misses being her personal paparazzi on their failed selfies. She also went ahead to count the days that have passed since the last day she last saw him.
“Mr. C., I miss being your personal paparazzi for our failed selfies. 6 months, 13 days, 22hrs 20mins since I last saw you. Happy Birthday @bobcollymore I continue to love you”, she captioned.
Collymore, a Guyana-born British citizen, took charge of Safaricom in 2010 on a three-year contract after the company’s founding CEO, Michael Joseph, retired. His contract had been extended multiple times as a result of his success and was scheduled to exit the firm in 2020.
He left behind four children.
