Mistakes made by women when trying to conceive 

Most people are on the assumption that marriages are made up of children.

Every couple wishes to have children of their own immediately after getting together, they will thus set their minds to spending the rest days of their lives together.

Some of the couples might end up getting frustrated after their efforts to get a baby fails to bear fruits. In some cases, they experience difficulties in conceiving due to the mistakes they make though they are not aware of the same.

Such mistakes made by women are;

Assuming your Mathematics is right

Mistiming is the most mistake most women make. Most women do not know that the most fertile days are those days preceding ovulation and not the day they ovulate.

It is thus quite essential for a woman trying to conceive to seek doctors’ advice and guidelines. This is important because the fertility door’s closure reducing the chances of getting a child. In case your periods are irregular, never shy away from seeking doctor’s advice.

Use of lubricants

It is important to note that a woman’s vagina produces natural oil that acts as a pathway for the sperms to reach the ovum. Using external lubricants might be a threat to sperms as they work differently from the body’s natural oils, thus reducing the chances of conceiving.

Keeping unhealthy diet

For those who are trying to get pregnant, it is crucial to maintain a healthy diet. A woman trying to get pregnant, she should also stay away from alcohol and smoking.

Women should also take meals rich in vitamins and supplements that aid in conception. Some of these include vitamin B, D, antioxidants, among others.

Taking prenatal vitamins

Even though prenatal vitamins ensure proper nutrient intake for an expectant woman and her developing baby, they do not increase the chances of getting pregnant. Those women who take prenatal vitamins to boost conception are quite wrong, and this never assists at all.

Prenatal vitamins are just jam foods packed with essential vitamins and minerals that are important during pregnancy. To prepare your body and equip it with proper nutrients, add these vitamins to your daily meals.

Putting yourself always on medication

Even though medications help to treat certain health conditions, they can harm a woman’s ability to conceive. Some of these medications include those that treat hypothyroidism, those who target the nervous system, and steroids.

In case a woman is currently on medication, and she has a challenge in getting pregnant, it is advisable to talk with her doctor and find out whether it is affecting her fertility, and if so she should stop taking it or switch to something else.

 Taking too long to consult with your doctor 

In case you have fertility concerns as a woman or husband’s ability to conceive, both of them ought not to ignore but instead, consult a doctor and address them. It’s good to have things checked out and find out that nothing is wrong than ignore any concerns and find out that they are legit and can affect the ability to conceive.

Ranging from underlying health conditions, irregular cycles can be concerns that your doctor will address and advise you o the best option to settle on.
