How to get rid of unwanted stretch marks naturally

Stretchmarks are one of the unavoidable side effects of gaining or losing weight, which often leaves us dissatisfied with our look.

Today, I’ll take you through four natural methods that you can use to get rid of stretch marks from the comfort of your own home.

Use of Aloe vera

This naturally occurring plant contains multiple healing properties, which makes it one of the best ways to eliminate unwanted stretch marks.

You will be required to cut the aloe vera leaf down in the middle to expose the succulent juicy part, which you will apply directly to your skin.

Gently massage the affected area with the aloe then let it rest for a few minutes before washing it off.

The method is effective when used over a period of time. With your skin, patience is always key.

Egg whites remedy

Egg whites are composed of proteins and amino acids which are great for repairing damaging skin.

Whisk two egg whites in a bowl until you obtain a fine mixture. Using a sponge, rub the mixture directly on the affected area.

Relax for a couple of minutes until it dries out completely, then rinse with warm water. Repeat the process daily to get faster results.

Lemon juice

Lemons contain natural bleaching properties which explains why it is the common ingredient in all bleaching products.

Applying it on your skin slowly aids in the disappearance of stretch marks by lightening them to resemble your normal skin colour.

You can cut the lemon into half and apply the juices directly on your skin, or alternatively, squeeze the lemon to obtain lemon juice to which you will soak your piece of cloth and massage your skin.

Coconut oil apllication

Coconut oil contains fatty acids which are known to be absorbed by the skin very fast.

By applying coconut oil on your skin, you speed up collagen production, which helps repair your stretched skin back to its original look.

All these methods work best if used for a continuous period of time, most probably every day for a few weeks. The key is having consistency in your applications.
