On any other typical weekend, you would probably be dressing up and getting ready to go for brunch. It could be the first date or someone you have seen for a while, and you’re glad you don’t have to stay home all day binge-watching Money Heist, or whatever show you like.
Everything was going great until the novel coronavirus showed up. Most hang-out places are no longer in operation, which means meeting people in person for dates is out of the question. Unless you don’t mind having a ‘home date’.
Thanks to online dating, you no longer have to be bored during this quarantine period. Since we have a lot of time on our hands, there is no better time to explore online dating.
You can meet new people on dating sites like tinder and Badoo. Then move the conversation from the site to Whatsapp and eventually video chats. If you decide that it is reasonable to meet, make sure you both take all the necessary precautions to avoid contracting the virus.
You should also plan to cancel ahead of time if any of you starts showing symptoms of the virus.
There is no scientific proof that coronavirus can be sexually transmitted. However, there is a significant risk of having sex with someone that is infected with the virus. Some people have tested positive for the virus, even without showing any symptoms.
If you have just met someone new, I would suggest putting sex off the table for now. Sex is not worth dying for, is it? Besides, this would be a great time to honestly connect with no sex in the picture.
However, if you live with your partner and sleep on the same bed, there is no reason why you shouldn’t have sex time and again. Sex is unlikely to add any additional risk.
