On Friday, Kenya recorded an additional 52 cases of the dreaded covid-19 bringing the national tally to 1161.
Speaking during the daily covid-19 updates, health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe said the tested 2,467 in the last 24 hours.
In his briefing, Mr. Kagwe said Nairobi accounted for 23 of the new infections while Busia and Mombasa had seven each.
Since reporting its first case on March 31, Kenya has tested a total of 55,074 samples to date from various parts of the country.
Additionally, the minister said the total number of recoveries stood at 380 after the disagree of five more patients.
The ministry added that so far, the number of deaths remained the same at 50.
During the updates in Machakos county, CS Kagwe said Kenya will no longer import PPEs as they would be manufactured locally.
