Alfred Mutua recruits Jubilee politicians to support his presidential news

Machakos governor Alfred Mutua has in a new move poached some Jubilee party legislators in preparation for his presidential bid.

The governor recruited legislators from the Mt Kenya region who would help him in actualizing his ambition. He also held a meeting with some leaders from Embu, Meru and Tharaka Nithi on Saturday 15th of August 2020.

Governor Alfred also revealed that the legislators agreed to support him.

“I was pleased that on top of MCA’s elected on Maendeleo Chap Chap ticket, others from different political parties including Jubilee, have warmed up to my call for a new way of doing things in Kenya,” Mutua posted on twitter.

What is disturbing our country?

Governor Alfred also discussed with the legislators some factors which affect the Kenyan economy.

They discussed why Kenyans are still miserable, despite the numerous resources the country has.

The team agreed that the country needs a change in some of the ordinary things happening since independence. Governor Mutua also promised to come with a new way of doing things. He further claimed that some of the current leaders are part of the issues we are facing as a country.

Governor Mutua also added that he’s humbled by the legislators urge for him to declare his presidential bid.

“I’m elated by their urge that I step up and openly declare my candidature to be the 5th President of the Republic of Kenya.”

Further adding,

“I’m also pleased by their assurance of support, including mobilization and set up of effective campaign structures at all levels in their region.”

Mutua has also met up with former minister Joseph Munyua who advised him on how to structure his presidential campaign. Joseph Munyao served as a minister during former President Mwai Kibaki’s reign.

The governor also hinted that he might collaborate with the Democratic Party (DP) and other interested parties.

“We also discussed a possible working arrangement among MCC Party, DP and other parties whose focus is the empowerment of the people and not just a few leaders.”
