Well-known City lawyer Donald Kipkorir has hit out at Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga’s critics telling them that the former Prime Minister does not need their help.
Kipkorir took to his Twitter page to advise the ODM leader that when the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) referendum begins, he should hold rallies with only politicians of his party and those of the ruling party Jubilee.
The lawyer went on to claim that many politicians for a long time have been building their profiles using Raila Odinga’s rally and later claim that they are the ones who helped him.
“For too long, many politicians build their national profiles in Baba’s rallies then later claim they assisted Baba. Baba doesn’t need help,” he said.

Kipkorir’s statement comes days after former Raila’s former National Super Alliance (NASA) co-principals; Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi, Wiper Democratic Movement leader Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula hit out the ODM leader.
This was after Raila Odinga made it clear over the weekend that he was not going to support anyone in the coming 2022 general elections.
He explained that this was because there were politicians who stood with him until when they went to the ballot during the 2017 heated general elections.
However, when he was being sworn-in as the People’s President at Uhuru Park, they were nowhere to be seen.
He added that since they ran away from him at the time of his need, they did not deserve his support.
After his remarks, the ANC party came out breathing fire calling the ODM leader a political con having lied to them that he was not going to run again for the seat after the 2017 elections.
Kalonzo Musyoka also responded to Raila saying that he does not need any endorsement to run for the 2022 presidential seat.
However, ODM chairman and Suba South Member of Parliament John Mbadi hit back at the former NASA members calling them cowards.
He added that the three veteran politicians cannot stand on their own feet and that is why they are trying to force Raila to endorse them.
He pointed out that the former Prime Minister was going to stand by his words and as a party, they will strongly discourage Raila from doing so.
