Coronavirus: China set to build mega hospital in 6 days.

Wonders will never cease. China is set to build a hospital in a record of 6 days to ease in the treatment of patients with coronavirus.

The hospital is scheduled to begin operations on the 3rd of February. The hospital will contain 1000 beds. It will be made from prefabricated materials.

Over 1000 infections and 100 deaths have been reported so far.

The disease was first reported in the city of Wuhan. The groundwork has already begun with excavators and tractors working around the clock.

China is known for getting mega projects done quickly through the use of modern technology.

In 2003, a similar hospital was built in Beijing to contain the Sars Virus, which affected over 8000 people and killed over 700 people. Sars and coronavirus are identical in many ways since they both affect the respiratory system.

It has symptoms that are similar to those of a common cold. It can cause bronchitis and pneumonia if it affects the lower respiratory tract.

Coronavirus is common among wild animals and rarely affects human beings. It is spread from human to human through shaking of hands and sneezing.

The symptoms include coughing, fever and difficulty in breathing.

There is no cure yet, and just like a common cold, it clears on its own. Patients are required to take plenty of fluids to hasten the clearing of the infection.

The Wuhan hospital will ensure that affected people are quarantined to help contain the disease. Wuhan hospitals are overwhelmed with the numerous coronavirus cases.

Currently, the situation in the affected areas is chaotic with long queues of patients in hospital hallways and patients sleeping on the floor. Medical supplies are running out and medics are overwhelmed.

The Chinese government is under pressure to curb the spread of this pandemic. Countries worldwide are screening all people flying from China to curb the spread of the virus.
