If elections were to be held today in five counties, Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga would lead in Isiolo, Kisii, Trans Nzoia and Nyamira Counties, a Tifa research poll shows.
Raila’s popularity is at 50 per cent in Isiolo, Kisii at 61 per cent, Trans Nzoia at 52 per cent and Nyamira at 58 per cent.
The poll released on Thursday showed that Deputy President William Ruto takes the lead in Murang’a County at 62 per cent and Raila at 18 per cent.
The polls showed that Ruto’s popularity in Isiolo is 42 per cent, in Kisii at 20 per cent, Trans Nzoia at 34 per cent and Nyamira at 26 per cent.
Roots Party candidate George Wajackoyah come in the third position in Isiolo, Trans Nzoia, Kisii and Murang’a Counties.
The data was collected between July 5 to 7 in both Isiolo, Nyamira and Kisii.
The other statistics were collected between June 25 and 26 in Murang’a and in Trans Nzoia, the data was collected between June 28 and 29.
The polls in Murang’a were conducted from a sample of 407 voters with a margin error of +/-4.9 per cent while in Isiolo County, the sample size was 435 registered voters with a margin error of +/- 4.7 per cent.
516 Kisii County voters participated in the survey and a margin error of +/- 4.3 per cent was registered.
In Nyamira, 626 residents were interviewed. The margin error was +/- 3.0 per cent.
In Trans Nzoia County, 416 respondents were interviewed.
They used telephone interviews to collect data.
