Pope Francis has appointed Alfred Rotich as the current new Bishop who will be leading the catholic followers of Kericho Diocese. Bishop Rotich is now the current mirror which will be leading the Catholic congregation.
Bishop Rotich was selected to replace the previous Bishop in the Diocese who was known as Emmanuel Okombo. Emmanuel is outgoing due to retirement as he attained the age of 75 years. Note that the retirement age for Catholic Bishop is officially set at 75 years old. Once you reach the age, then you retire and continue residing in the strategic Parish where you are assigned, but you cannot continue to serve as a Bishop anywhere else.
