Daniel Adongo’s father speaks after son’s video smoking rocked social media

Daniel Adongo’s father has finally opened up about his son and the trending video of the former rugby star.

From the video, you can see an intoxicated Daniel enjoying some HipHop music as he smokes what fans perceived to be marijuana. He also had a raggedy look with piercings on his nose and unkempt hair.

Adongo’s father thanked Kenyans for their support and care. He further revealed that he and the family are trying to bring the situation under control. According to him, the former rugby’s situation can befall any young person in the same conditions.

“The process to resolve the difficulties our beloved son is going through are underway. It is understandable that such a situation can befall any young person.”

Further adding,

“We are grateful that the outside world has empathised with us, and as a family, we don’t take for granted the support we have received,”  he told the Standard.

He also urged Kenyans to continue supporting Daniel Adongo in these trying times further requesting fans to accord them some privacy as they try to deal with the situation.

From his Instagram posts, Adongo has been posting some weird information which prompted fans to conclude he might be in a cult.

According to reports, Daniel was living his dream life until a woman accused him of violence in 2015.

According to the woman, she was afraid to go to his residence. She further explained that the two had had two arguments in October. However, she did not want to reveal more information regarding the matter.

This accusation cost Adongo as he lost his career and playtime. The Colts terminated his contract after it emerged that the police have other cases on him.

However, the former rugby player claimed that the woman was lying.

Celebrated media personality Jalang’ o joined Kenyans concerned Adongo and revealed the two were once close. According to him, Colts had offered Daniel a ksh 200 million contract.

“We are not in his space to understand what he is going through. Everybody is concerned. May God shine on his way.”
