Wundanyi detectives are trying to track down a gardener who is a suspect in the gruesome murder of a 45-year-old woman.
The suspect was the victim’s co-worker. Detectives believe that he killed her and dumped her dismembered body parts at different locations.
Police officers revealed that they found syringes, condoms, blood-stained clothes, and murder weapons at the crime scene. Consequently, they believe that the suspect sexually assaulted the woman before killing her.
The suspect allegedly rented the house, which is now a crime scene, without his employer’s knowledge. Both he and the victim used to stay at their employer’s home.
Richard Cheruiyot, the Wundanyi DCI boss, confirmed that the suspect is at large.
Officers found the torso of the victim, who was a domestic worker, in Kese Township. They found her other body parts buried in a shallow grave close to a stream.
Reports show that the victim disappeared after she left her workplace on Sunday. Her daughter told detectives that she went to buy a toothbrush at 5 pm but did not return home.
The DCI also revealed that they had not yet established the motive of the murder. Wundanyi residents alleged that police officers in the area are slow in responding to distress calls.
