Famous blogger Edgar Obare was arrested by DCI officers early Wednesday morning on the 30th of July 2020.
According to Edgar, the officers came for him at his Kisumu home and later on ferried him to Nairobi. The controversial blogger further revealed that a lot of officers arrested him.
He took to his social media pages announcing the arrest and also tanking his fans for his support. His lawyer Titus Munene Kinyua also confirmed the arrest.
“As I said earlier, I was summoned by the DCI. Today morning I was arrested by very many officers at my home. Thank you for your undying support,” Edgar wrote while en route to Nairobi.
The DCI had alerted Edgar that he would need to appear before them in a few days. Obare is known for his infamous blogs that expose scandalous events of public figures.
Edgar had revealed that the DCI was summoning him because he had posted Natalie Tewa and Mombasa governor Joho. According to him, Tewa had accompanied Joho during his trip to visit Raila in Dubai.
The leaking of Natalie Tewa’s visa to the UAE is the highest form of invasion of privacy. Edgar Obare’s homemade paparazzis have crossed a line. I hope the person behind it gets fired.

He further provided evidence, including travel documents that showed Tewa arrived in Dubai. However, this did not sit well with some fans who felt that exposing the personal travel documents was privacy infringement.
Obare is facing doxxing charges, researching, and publish private or identifying information with malicious intent on the internet.
During numerous previous exposes, Edgar maintained that he only revealed stories that had solid leads and evidence.
“My followers know me, I ask for evidence, and they know I can turn against them if they lie. And I also know who they are,” Edgar had said previously.
He recently rocked social media after he exposed comedian Jalang’o of belonging to a boys’ club.
