Former MP dies after losing both wives in 5 months

Former Changamwe Member of Parliament Ramadhan Kijembe lost his life on Friday the 7th of August 2020. His passing on comes barely two weeks after he lost his first wife, Mama Aziza Kijembe.

Ramadhan lost his life at the Pandya hospital. The family has, however, not yet revealed what led to his death.

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) confirmed his death on all their social media pages. The party further sent messages of condolences to friends and family of the former MP.

“Rest in Peace Ramadhan Seif Kajembe. You served Changamwe residents well from 1997 to 2013. To his family, we send our condolences,’ read a part of the statement.

Mombasa county governor Ali Hassan Joho also sent his condolences to the family. He further mourned him as a diligent leader who was a staunch defender of citizens’ rights.

“On behalf of the people of Mombasa, my family, and my own behalf, I extend my heartiest condolences to the family of the late Hon. Kajembe, may the Almighty Allah SWT assuage your grief and grant you patience to endure the loss,’ Rashid Bedzimba posted.

Following Islamic traditions and also Covid-19 rules, the deceased was buried on the 7th of August 2020 at the Kajembe family cemetery in Changamwe.

Previous deaths.

Before his passing, Kajembe had lost his first wife Mama Aziza Kajembe two weeks ago on the 24th of July 2020. She lost her life in a private hospital where she was under treatment.

Mama Aziza’s death came five months after Kajembe’s second wife, Mama Zaharia Kajembe, lost her life in March. Mama Zaharia passed on at the Aghakan hospital in Mombasa while undergoing treatment.
