Former Presidential candidate Abduba Dida has maintained that Deputy President is not different from his boss President Uhuru Kenyatta when it comes to mismanagement of funds in the country.
In a tweet, Dida suggested that the two top leaders are birds of the same feather and no one of them can be singled out as a better option.
He pointed out that the second in command stole from the country’s economy and now he is back dishing out handouts and promising to change the economic crisis that he created in the first place.
In this, Dida pointed out that DP Ruto should not distance himself from the Jubilee administration’s woes as he is part of the government as the second in command.
“HE Uhuru and his DP Ruto are not different. Ruto plundered our economy, and then comes back with handouts, promising to change a situation he created,” read part of his tweet.
He added that the head of the state on the other hand has been imposing unnecessary lockdown which has been destroying Kenyans’ lives then thinks he is a savior by lifting it.
Dida at the same time mocked members of the newly formed One Kenya Alliance and claimed they were confused about their political direction.
Recently, President Uhuru Kenyatta and DP William Ruto’s government were accused of over-borrowing funds yet they do not explain how they use them.
This was after the government borrowed Ksh. 255 billion from International Monetary Fund (IMF).
DP Ruto has in the past blamed the handshake that resulted in the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) claiming that the processes slowed down the government’s Big Four Agenda.
Ruto accused the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader of overturning the priorities of President Uhuru Kenyatta and imposing on Kenyans the much-hyped report of the BBI which intends to change the constitution through a referendum.
In January this year, the second in command claimed that Raila and his members pushed their way through into government through the handshake, and took over committees of parliament, and also took over the running of government.
He added that since the handshake, they have failed miserably and now wanted to run away from their own failure.
On the other hand, Raila pointed out that Ruto should not fault ODM for Jubilee’s failure as his ODM party is not in the government.
