High Court Orders Immigration department to ensure a smooth Miguna Homecoming

As the outspoken and hothead Miguna Miguna prepares to jet back to the country on Tuesday the 7th 2020 at 9 pm, the court has ordered the immigration department to facilitate his homecoming.

Justice Weldon Kipyegon Korir, a judge at the High Court in Nairobi, on Monday morning, issued the directive that insisted the lawyer not to be barred from entering the country. For a long time, the lawyer has had a brawl with government authorities and citizens on social networks over his visa and residency in the country.

The Kenyan government previously stated that it would never allow the vocal opposition figure to step foot into the country as it was deporting him in JKIA on 29th March 2019. The dramatic deportation saw him handcuffed, sedated, and abused.

After his forceful deportation in 2019, the court stated that the government should award Sh7 million as compensation for the violation of his rights during his deportation to Canada. He went on to appeal for help through his active online platforms.

The public now is eagerly waiting to see the turnout of events as the lawyer jets in tomorrow evening.
