Investigations have revealed that a 50-year-old man in Tana River County has been defiling his two daughters for the past year. The girls, 11 and 14 years old, told authorities that he sexually abused them regularly.
The girls revealed that their father had made a duty roster for them. In the roster, he indicated the girl he would visit on various nights. The two girls lived with their father alone since he separated from their mother several years ago.
“The girls were doing well in class. However, their performance started dropping suddenly, and we got concerned,” a teacher at the girls’ school said.
Concerned about the girls’ welfare, teachers at the school asked them about their situation at home. The girls did not open up for several weeks, but the 11-year-old finally got tired of the situation and opened up.
“She told me that the father has been having sex with them on a routine basis. She also said that according to the roster, she was to be on duty that night,” Ms. Bonaya, her teacher, revealed.
Together with the area chief, teachers stormed the man’s homestead and caught him in the act. They handed him over to police officers and took the girls to the hospital for medical tests.
When journalists interviewed the girls’ mother, she said that he started abusing the girls long before they separated.
