Kalonzo fighting for his political life in Ukambani

Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana has claimed that Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka is fighting for his political life line in the Ukambani region.

Speaking on Thursday, Kibwana said that the support the Wiper leader previously enjoyed in the region has dwindled and there is a growing concern by leaders and the people of Ukambani.

The governor said this is the reason the community will not allow him to go all the way to the ballot.

“This idea that he continues to enjoy the kind of support that he did in the past is not necessarily tenable,” Kibwana said on Citizen TV.

“He is really also fighting for his political life in that region and that is why the governors and other leaders have said that he will be told what he must do and if he says he must go up to the very end, then he will be told you go alone you are not going with the community.”

He noted some of Kalonzo’s people have been telling him to go all the way to the ballot regardless of what the outcome will be, but the people of Ukambani don’t want to fall into a ditch.

The Makueni Governor said Kalonzo vying for the presidency will not yield results that will put them in a formation that leads the country.

“Some people overate him but we are telling him that you will do what we ask you as a community and we are not asking you to stand on your own until the very end,” Kibwana said.
