List of leaders accompanying Raila to Busia for Azimio rallies

ODM leader Raila Odinga is in Busia.

The Azimio La Umoja presidential candidate is expected to address four rallies at the border county.

He landed in the Butula sub-county at noon.

The former prime minister is accompanied by among other leaders governors Wycliffe Oparanya (Kakamega), Wilberforce Ottichillo of Vihiga, Anyang Nyon’go of Kisumu and Busia’s Sospeter Ojaamong.

Others are MPs Junet Mohamed (Suna East), Joseph Oyula (Butula), John Mbadi (Suba South), Geoffrey Odanga (Matayos), and Wilberforce Mudenyo (Funyula) and Geoffrey Osotsi (nominated).

Former cabinet minister Dr Mukhisa Kituyi, former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth, and Cotu secretary general Francis Atwoli are also in the former Prime Minister’s entourage.

Others are Busia ODM governor aspirant Paul Otuoma and senatorial contender Okiya Omtatah.

Raila in Butula called on Kenyans to remain cautious ahead of the August 9 polls.

He said some leaders campaigning as presidential candidates on claims they will bring the much-needed change in the country do not understand the history of Kenya.

Kenneth said the Mt Kenya region will fully back Raila in his bid to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Atwoli and Junet told Kakamega senator Cleophas Malala to respect the police following his utterances that Kenyans need not to be highly educated to join the force.

Kituyi and Junet said Kenya’s presidency under Raila will address the land question in totality in the country.

All MPs present rallied their support behind Raila who they said exhibits qualities of being a good president.
