Mental disorder? Kiraitu tells off Ruto over ‘not campaigning’ remarks

Murungi said the DP has launched a political party, created campaign merchandise and campaign slogans.

“But at the same time claim that you are not campaigning.  Mr DP could you by any chance be suffering from mental disorder? Because the symptoms you exhibit suggest multiple personality disorder or cognitive dissonance,” he said.

“Its even worse because all along you have been trying to convinced Kenyans that you are a good person, only to keep lying to them; time and again.”

He further questioned if the meaning of campaigns had changed.

“ Because theres no other way one can explain this strange phenomenon. What worries me though is the straight face with which you lie,” he added.

In his address, Ruto said he has the mandate to tour different parts of the country and get feedback from Kenyans on development projects.

“I haven’t started the campaign because the campaign period is not yet announced by IEBC,” he said.

It was a statement that stunned some Kenyans as his ‘tours’ are considered the longest and most aggressive campaign in Kenya’s recent electoral politics.

The Official campaigns for the 2022 General Elections will run from May 10 after presidential candidates submit their papers to the IEBC, to August 6, two days to polling day.
