My dad left for work in 2006 and never come back – Comedian Kartelo opens up

Online Comedian and Radio show presenter Kartelo has revealed that his father woke up one morning in 2006 left for work, and never came back.

Speaking with K24’s Betty Kyallo on Upclose with Betty, the comedian revealed that they went looking for him in the mortuaries, prisons, hospitals and even announcing his disappearance on radio stations but never found him.

The Chipukeezy show co-host went ahead to explain that he was a family man but he was also an alcoholic. Kartelo noted that at first, they thought it was a joke since he was a conman and they were used to him disappearing and coming back after almost two months. He added that after two years, it when they realized that their father was not coming back.

Kartelo stated that he would like to see his father go back home to his family as everything was fine and his three boys had already grown up and they still missed him. He went on to reveal that their mother was still angry with his husband since he left them struggling.

The funnyman revealed that his mother used to live on the same compound with her in-laws peacefully but everything turned around as they beat her up and stabbed her forcing her to be admitted in hospital.
