Ruto calls for national unity, end to tribal politics

Governor Salim Mvurya praised Ruto for being a transformative leader who has helped change the phase value of Kwale.

“Ruto and his excellency Uhuru Kenyatta have a great history with the Kwale people. You have helped put roads and set the pace of development,” he said.

Mvurya said the DP was the right person to carry the mantle from Uhuru, adding that he is a straightforward and visionary leader.

He said Ruto and his deputy Fatuma Achani have proved to be ready to take over power.

Mvurya who is serving his last term has endorsed Achani for the Kwale governor seat.

“Leadership should be given to leaders who stand by the locals under all circumstances, that’s why we saying the two must continue,” he said.

He said Kwale people will support Ruto in his 2022 presidential bid.

Wajir Member of Parliament, Ahmed Kolosh, said Ruto is the solution to Kenyan’s economic problem.

He urged UDA party members to remain loyal and support one another even after party ticket nominations to promote the bottom-up economic model and change the country political narrative.

Ruto was also accompanied by MPs Mohammed Ali (Nyali), Benjamin Tayari (Kinango), Feisal Bader (Msambweni), Owen Baya (Kilifi North) among other leaders.
