Ruto’s allies denied access to presidential function in Nakuru

Some politicians on Tuesday were denied access to a function in which President Uhuru Kenyatta was in attendance.

The politicians were blocked at the entrance of the Rift Valley Regional Headquarters where the president was to lead a function of issuing title deeds to residents.

Among the leaders were Nakuru Town East MP David Gikaria and Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika. The General Service Unit officers at the entrance told the politicians they had orders from above not to allow them into the venue.

The leaders expressed their shock and disbelief after the disappointment.

“I am utterly shocked. Why would I be barred from a function being graced by my President at my home county,” said Kihika.

The two said they will give a press statement later over the matter.
