President Uhuru close to naming candidate he will be rooting for in 2022 General Elections – Cherang’any MP says

Cherang’any Member of Parliament Joshua Kutuny has disclosed that his Jubilee party leader and President, Uhuru Kenyatta has a grand plan to unveil his preferred Presidential candidate in the much-anticipated 2022 General Elections.

The MP assured Kenyans that the ruling party is organized and the head of state is busy organizing himself so that he can name his desired candidate for next year’s polls.

“Uhuru is busy organizing himself and has a grand plan to deliver the country’s next President in the 2022 General Elections,” Kutuny said.

He added that after the first in command is organizing himself, a political Tsunami will be witnessed in 2022.

The lawmaker, however, urged President Uhuru Kenyatta to move fast and announce the Presidential candidate of his choice who will take over the mantle after his second and last term comes to an end next year.

He appealed to the President that by August 8 this year, he should publicly declare the person he will be rooting for.

Kutuny said that this would give Jubilee party members a way forward so that they can also start putting their house in order.

The legislature promised that the Jubilee party will still be part of the government that will take the helm because it has people who know how to form governments.

While hitting out at the ruling party’s political rivals, the Cherang’any MP said that they started the journey earlier than them, and now they think that they have made it, but they should know that they are not going anywhere.

The 2022 Presidential Elections are already heating up as political outfits across the country have started to put their houses in order.

President Uhuru Kenyatta has allegedly asked Opposition politicians to join hands and pick one Presidential candidate that he will support.

Last week, Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga promised Kenyans that a political Tsunami is coming as he is bringing together a strong political team that will fight for the country’s top seat next year.

On the other end, Deputy President William Ruto, who seems to be one of the top candidates who will be gunning for the seat, has severally said that he is not worried about coalitions as he is ready for ‘war’ with his Hustler Nation team.
