President Uhuru Kenyatta rewards a Police Commander for his Selfless Giving

President Uhuru Kenyatta awarded Mr. Jairus Mulumia for sacrificing to teach pupils when their school was insecure, and the community was unsafe. Jairus was a teacher at Forole Primary School and decided to continue with teaching lessons at a time when no other teacher managed to go to school, fearing for their dear lives.

Since some pupils managed to attend classes, Mr. Mulumia went ahead and taught them as usual. Mulumia, who is trained as a teacher, was pictured in his uniform, teaching some girls who were present in school. On that particular day, the turn out in students was low, but that did not limit him from teaching.
